Mandatory equipment 

Équipement obligatoireAll motorcycles must be equipped with at least:

  1. a white headlight in front;
  2. a red light on the back;
  3. two signal lights (white or yellow) in front, and two signal lights (red or yellow) in the back;
  4. a red brake light in the back;
  5. a licence plate light;
  6. foot supports for drivers and passengers.

Any motorcycle must also have an exhaust system that conforms to established, regulated standards.

The exhaust system must include all its parts, in particular the collector, pipes, muffler, supports and fasteners. All parts of the system must be adequate and firmly in place.

In addition, no part must present a gas leak in the connections or external openings-except the outlet gas pipe provided by the muffler manufacturer for the purpose of evacuating condensation.

No part of the system can be replaced, removed, added or altered in order to exceed the noise level or burn risks of the system installed by the manufacturer.

Also, the exhaust system cannot have an outlet system for exhaust fumes or deflectors with variable adjustment.
