Activités du SPVM

The team at PDQ 48 works to maintain security in its territory, in compliance with the SPVM's global priorities. To this end, the team has established these objectives for 2012.

A police service in its community

• Continue to pursue mental health intervention expertise operations, launched in 2011, by consolidating PDQ48’s mental health intervention team and establishing appropriate, effective ties with partners. 

• Make sure every police officer has solid knowledge of their territory, the population they serve (needs, expectations, issues) and the resources available to them.

Road safety

• Improve the road safety record, reducing the number of fatal and injury accidents by applying the "3E" model (Education, Engineering, Enforcement).

Crime

• Improve the residents’ security and quality of life by quickly and effectively taking control of:

• Problems associated with violent crime (crimes against the person, street-gang crime, assaults, robberies, domestic violence, use of firearms)
• Problems associated with the possession, trafficking and production of narcotics
