Our goals

The team at PDQ 44 works to maintain security in its territory, in compliance with the SPVM's global priorities. To this end, the team has established these objectives for 2010.

Provide police visibility to foster direct contact with the public

  • Maintain maximum visibility in parks and business zones, using foot and bicycle patrol in order to counter the high concentration of thefts
  • Visit businesses (SIDAC Masson and SDC Beaubien)
  • Take part in meetings with members of the Masson BDC in order to provide prevention advice about vehicle thefts
  • Carry out operations aimed at suspected auto thieves

Enforce driver compliance with the Highway Safety Code

  • Carry out speed control operations in targeted areas, in particular accident-prone places
  • Carry out operations that support bus lane restrictions

Reduce risky pedestrian behaviour

  • Carry out prevention and suppression operations in targeted places;
  • Continue meeting with the elderly in order to help them adopt safe behaviours as pedestrians.

Enhance cooperation, strengthen ties and pursue bridge-building activities with the community

  • Take part in the "Vivre et vieillir à Rosemont "  round table;
  • Continue residential visits in areas with high concentrations of elderly.
