Commandant: Line Blanchard 

Line Blanchard completed her policing techniques studies at the Cégep de Maisonneuve in 1989 before going on to do a certificate in human resources management at the Université du Québec à Montréal.

Her police career with the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal began in 1990. She worked in a number of different boroughs as a patroller, senior officer, sergeant and lieutenant. She acquired experience in road safety by working with and serving on several committees for over three years, while she worked at the Division de la sécurité routière et circulation.

Ms. Blanchard was then appointed commandant in the Division de la régie de la qualité des services and worked there for a year, honing her management skills through a series of major events.

Since June 16, 2008, she is very pleased to have joined the team that looks after public safety in the beautiful borough of Plateau Mont-Royal.
