Activités du SPVM

The team at Poste de quartier 37 is working hard to maintain security and promote quality of life in our territory, in keeping with the SPVM's global priorities. To this end, the team has established the following objectives for 2010:

Reduce risky pedestrian behaviour

• Carry out prevention and suppression operations for pedestrian behaviour and driver behaviour toward pedestrians
• Carry out prevention and suppression operations for cyclist behaviour in the streets
• Carry out meetings with the elderly in order to help them adopt safe pedestrian behaviour

Enhance cooperation, strengthen ties and pursue bridge-building activities with the community

• Pay preventive visits to schools in the sector;
• Meet with youth to instil prudence while using the Internet and to discuss the problems of cyber intimidation;
• Demystify police work for elementary and secondary students, and inform them about the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
