Marc St-Cyr, Inspecteur
Marc St-Cyr has been a police officer for 23 years, but he began his career with the RCMP in 1983. He then worked as a constable in Surrey, British Columbia, before joining the SPVM in September 1987, in Ville St-Laurent.
Mr. St-Cyr worked in the Section des stupéfiants in the West region for two years and then took part in the creation of the Evaluation Centre for the Section Sélection et évaluation in 1997.
With this varied experience, he worked downtown for nine years, first as an agent and then as a sergent. From there, his career took him to the Section Planification opérationnelle, where he helped design crowd control services for events such as the St. Patrick's Day parade, the Santa Parade (downtown), the Montréal Grand Prix and the Indy Car Race.
During his time with the Business Development section, he was helping develop marketing contracts right before being named Commandant of PDQ 1, where he worked from July 2007 to December 2009.
Since January 11th, 2010, Mr. St-Cyr has been the Chief of PDQ 20 and he intends to mobilize his team to make sure that residents and storeowners of Ville-Marie West live and work in a peaceful and secure environment.
