In February 2008, Poste de Quartier 11 set up a special team called the "Module d'action par projet" (project action module, or MAP).
This team is made up of Sergent Mathieu Durand, a traffic officer, two community relations officers, two foot patrollers and four operations officers. The team's mandate is to monitor crime in the district and work on long-term projects.
In 2010, the PDQ 11 MAP action plan will focus on:
The MAP takes daily action in the SPVM's four main areas of intervention - communications, prevention, suppression and research. Establishing trusting relationships with the community, gathering local information and collaborating with a variety of local organizations and establishments help the MAP learn more about crime in NDG and how to best respond.
To pass on information to the MAP officers in the sector, citizens are invited to contact them at pdq11@spvm.qc.ca or 514-280-9311.
Information can be treated anonymously at the citizen's request, and all information will be verified by priority based on the PDQ11 action plan.
