Sylvain Doucet,
commandant of PDQ 1

Commandant Sylvain Doucet

Commandant Sylvain Doucet was born in Montreal and grew up in the Plateau Mont-Royal district. He began his SPVM career in 1987 as a patrol officer in Saint-Michel, the downtown area, Montreal-North and Saint-Laurent.

Once the district police forces were established in 1997, he became a Senior District Officer, then supervisor of an intervention team and a poste de quartier.

From 1999 to 2004, Mr. Doucet was an Advisor to several SPVM administrative units, including gendarmerie (constable) administration, cadet training, the Intégration des données policières and Service à la Communauté de la Région ouest.

Promoted to  Lieutenant for PDQ 3 (Pierrefonds) in 2005, Mr. Doucet became Commandant the same year, in a  Cadre de service et Chef de section du Soutien opérationnel Sud function.  Since January 2010, he has been chief of the Poste de quartier 1 and is very happy with this challenge and offers his energy and experience to all Baie-D'Urfé, Beaconsfield, Kirkland, Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue and Senneville citizens.
