Our goals
The team at PDQ 1 works to maintain security in its territory, in compliance with the SPVM's global priorities. To this end, the team has established these objectives for 2010.
Provide police visibility to foster direct, regular contact with the public.
- Maintain the public sense of security.
- Provide daily presence of foot patrollers in target zones and at target times.
- Distribute brochures on theft from and of vehicles.
Increase antisocial behaviour operations.
- Continue to reduce the extent of antisocial behaviour.
- Provide sufficient recurring police presence (patrol/intervention).
Continue operations to counter domestic violence.
- Follow up with victims of domestic violence.
- Refer victims of domestic violence to the CLSC and the CAVAC.
Enforce driver compliance with the Highway Safety Code.
- Reduce the number of accidents on main throughways.
- Carry out radar operations and process traffic complaints.
- Hold Alcotest operations.
Enhance cooperation, strengthen ties and pursue bridge-building activities with the community.
- Maintain constant communications with elected officials, residents and partners.
- Presence/participation in city councils, traffic committees and citizens committees.
