 The Active Shooter Intervention program (Faire face à un tireur actif) was launched by the SPVM in 2007 and 2008 in the five school boards on the island of Montréal, the Rive-Sud and the Rive-Nord. This training is offered to the management of every school as part of their emergency preparedness plans.
