Here are a few of the photos in the Musée de la police collection.

1815 : Uniforme des Bazouelles.

1845 : Uniforme (bâton de police à la ceinture).
1845: Uniform (the billy stick is now worn on the belt)

1873 : Sous-sergent (chapeau haut de forme).
1873: Sub-sergeant proudly wearing his uniform

1885 : constable moustachu armé de son bâton.
1885: Constable armed with his billy stick

1920 : vingtaine de motocyclistes.
Circa 1920: Police motorcyclist formation, at Parc Lafontaine

1937 : première voiture-radio (avec 2 policiers devant).
1937: The Service de police de Montréal’s first radio-car. Note: the radio could receive calls but could not confirm receipt or respond verbally.

1967 : cavalier et enfant.
1967: Mounted police officer in full regalia, at Expo 67 (World international fair in Montréal)

1980 : moto à nacelle latérale.
Motorcycles with side-cars were part of the police scenery until the early 1980s. Because they were much more stable, these motorcycles could be used all year round.
